Gregg Zaun is Kinda Generous

leave a comment »

Just before he was injured for the next two months, Gregg Zaun announced that he would be giving 1,000 to the humanitarian organization “Right to Play” for every runner he throws out this season. Soon after this announcement, other Jays decided to jump on board the philanthropic bandwagon. Now joining Zaun in his charitable efforts is John McDonald, who pledged 5,000 for every home run to come off his bat; Troy Glaus, who plans to donate 10,000 for each of his stolen bases; and Frank Thomas, who announced that he would contribute “a million- no, make it ten”, for every triple he hits this season.
